The second edition of Designing Data-Intensive Applications, by myself and @chris.blue, is finished and sent off to the printers! Ebooks should be available in the next week, and print books in 3–4 weeks. Sigh of relief. 😅 (BTW, this is a good opportunity to support your favourite local bookshop!)
Book cover of "Designing Data-Intensive Applications, 2nd edition". It has a similar wild boar on the cover as the first edition, but it uses O'Reilly's new cover design, and the boar is now slightly colourised.

Today we're launching DuckLake, an integrated data lake and catalog format powered by SQL. DuckLake unlocks next-generation data warehousing where compute is local, consistency central, and storage scales till infinity. ducklake is an open standard and we implemented it in the "ducklake" extension.

Announcing etcd v3.6.0 | Kubernetes
This announcement originally appeared on the etcd blog. Today, we are releasing etcd v3.6.0, the first minor release since etcd v3.5.0 on June 15, 2021. This release introduces several new features, makes significant progress on long-standing efforts like downgrade support and migration to v3store, and addresses numerous critical & major issues. It also includes major optimizations in memory usage, improving efficiency and performance. In addition to the features of v3.6.0, etcd has joined Kubernetes as a SIG (sig-etcd), enabling us to improve project sustainability.

I wonder if it would have been possible not to convert the test and just invoke the engine functions. In theory that would have been a good feedback to an agentic loop. Did you try Cline with good instructions and memory bank?

Finding and deleting/replacing is painful to watch at time, this is something the IDE can do trivially (and it should rather than going via API to charge for this stuff)
