Poorly Aged Schmampus Art Reasons in Alt Text (CW: Transphobia and Self-Harm, alt text of image 4)

10/31/21
A belated Inktober entry where I drew cartoon reviewer Saberspark. This was not only drawn back when I used to actually watch his content, but also before he became kind of a big laughing stock. Y’know, the “new cartoon crush unlocked” guy. Pretty much the biggest reason why this drawing aged poorly is because his content kinda got worse over time, and I don’t like him anymore.

I drew quite a bit of this character named Cabrina by Twitter artist ManiaCousin. Chances are you might recognize her actually. ManiaCousin was pretty popular, key word being “was”. All of a sudden his account was deleted, and pretty much all of his art went down with it. Most plausible reason (according to some Twitter user under a post asking what happened to ManiaCousin) is that he made a post saying he was gonna get a new computer, and I guess dad never came back with the milk. You might be thinking this is a segway into something heinous the artist did, but uh… nope. I mean he WAS in JohnBob’s weird “artist harem” but I’m pretty sure ManiaCousin was active way after JohnBob was outed, obviously disassociated then. But yeah, this drawing just aged badly because Cabrina is “lost medias” so to speak.

I really got into OneyPlays around this time, so I drew some of the members, starting with DingDong. Y’know, the one who just kind of became a lolcow all of a sudden? Something about… tubas? Unrelated, that Kirby oc in the middle is actually an OneyPlays member, Kirbopher. He’s only been in 2 let’s plays, though. One of them was DKC3. He also made Brawl Taunts. Ok but seriously why did DingDong just make a complete 180 about his time on OneyPlays like that what a weirdo

My 99th Artfight attack featuring a bunch of girls in my bookmarks I thought looked pretty cool. One of them was Derby (middle right) by Jacob Lenard aka HorseFolder. Jacob made some funny lil animations, namely Mugman and Loose Ends. However, one of the more recent Mugman shorts (btw, not Mugman from Cuphead) later in 2024 would feature Matthew Littlemore aka Animator320 as a voice role. Yeah, that one. Don’t go to the 69th floor. On top of giving this predator a platform, Jacob would go on to delete comments under that video pointing that out, and even defending Matthew at some point in some IG DMs with an ex-fan. And apparently HorseFolder also had a history of transphobia way before all that. Even directed towards one of the voice actors he had who was trans. That voice actor would mutilate themself in an attempted suicide. It’s stuff like this that makes me wish you could delete Artfight attacks made for previous events. Sorry this got super dark so fast.

Don’t consider this a vent art, I’m clearly playing these troubles I have for laughs, and I don’t find them as serious to me anymore. Maybe a few years ago sure but now it’s just whatever.
Tbh if I could delete this attack or at the very least replace it with something else I would.
