Top two primary: What about California? In the 2026 primary 8 of 52 congressional districts had a "lock-out," but all were in districts where the party on the outs was unlikely to win in November. Districts were sorted based on Cook Political Report Partisan Voting Index (CPVI) & 6/2/26 rating.

In CA-11 (San Francisco), a D+36 district, voters will be able to choose from two Democrats in the November general election. A partisan primary would place Scott Wiener (D), David Ganezer (R) and Nathan Deer (I) on the ballot. Top-two gives voters meaningful choices in November.

Subject Matter: To see if the town will vote to authorize and request the Select Board to file Home Rule Legislation or other Special Legislation to repeal Chapter 505, Section 16 of the Acts of 1980, in which “the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is hereby prohibited from further planning or construction of the red line northwest rapid transit extension beyond a point on the so-called Lexington Branch railroad right of way located six hundred feet more or less northwesterly of Route 2 unless specifically authorized to do so by law,” or take any action related thereto.
