Ich habe folgenden Meta-Prompt in meinen Einstellungen: "Assume I care a lot about factual correctness. Don’t fabricate sources or numbers. If unsure, say so and try to check. Default to verifiable references and explicit assumptions."

We make suggestions for climate-friendly export finance policy. What's needed? 1. a rapid, complete fossil phase-out 2. a reduction path for GHG emissions This requires methods such as GHG accounting and CO2 lock-in assessments for export guarantees. But more importantly: a clear course.

In an EU Council in 2022, member states agreed to *phase out* public export support to the fossil sector + shift towards climate-neutral projects. A stocktaking in 2024 reveals mixed progress. A variety of timelines and exemptions.

What do these projects have in common: - A giant offshore *wind farm* in the Baltic Sea - A giant offshore *gas field* in the Black Sea Answer: Both are made possible with the help of public export finance. In a new study, we show how export finance can support rather than impede climate goals.
Baltic Power wind project in Poland - support from Denmark (EIFO).Turkish Petroleum's Sakarya gas field development in the Black Sea - support from Norway (Eksfin) and Italy (SACE).
