Loenen. Great nature. Beautiful spot. Wardens (volunteers) who gave us a completely new experience in 13 years camping with kids: complaints about the clothes line. It apparently devalues the nature experience. Every walker or cyclist has put up a small line. Ours, with 3 kids, is just bigger.

If you overtake a velomobile riding 45 km/h at this very point with you van you should not have been let anywhere near that van. In the corner he hit the brakes and steered back to the right before he completely passed me, because he was going way too fast for this tight corner.

Drivers are antisocial and selfish. This is the entrance to a school. This is a signed pedestrian area just meters from the school gates. Still parents drive onto it (backwards) to drop their kid off just a few meters closer. Available parking spots are about 30m away.

Fuck spec changes. Ten times less light in group ride mode. which was due to the 11 hours, our only used mode became pretty useless. It was a good trade off between visibility and duration. It no longer is. We had good visibility for one charge per week.

Winterberg is de dichtsbijzijnde skipiste met een uur minder rijden (met de auto) en 50 km dichterbij. Het is letterlijk slechts een dag fietsen voor wie een beetje kan doortrappen.

Cycling is an great part of parenting. I like proper stuff or my kids. We have had a lot of Wooms. I love these bikes, but they tend to put really shitty poor quality parts of them. Case in point, a 2 months old bike for my 7 yr old daughter. The chain is worn and now well beyond its half life.

A few moments later, this driver passed me, speeding significantly as well in a 60 km zone, giving me less than 0.5m. Drivers don't want to drive safely. They want to race.....

While cycling 34 km/h in a 30 km/h zone I already was on and even slightly over the speed limit. But for this chap it was not enough. After tailgating me for about a minute he chose to dangerously close pass me at the very first opportunity. He then raced off significantly over the speed limit.
