Alais can't parse east from west and calls the cardinal directions up down left right. Fine with maps but absolutely terrible at giving directions.

For me Panda was much more of a character study than anything plot related -- I really liked the lights shed on Lahabrea (I really like sad old men) and of course Elidibus.

Hmmm. I was going to say that 7.3 probably only feels bad *if* you're into high end content because I feel like that a lot of deep dungeon players don't touch high end (no Q40) and vice versa. I spent most of that patch doing PT, going to Phaenna, and attempting like 40 treasure vaults.

People also do c&g content for longer far after it completes though; you still see a lot of people in the diadem and firmament. Field ops die a lot faster after they stop being current, diehards aside.

ARR sucks because of the massive wall you get hit by between the uldah arc and the end of arr. Having to redo all three trials and having msq halt to a crawl so you do crystal tower fucking sucks. I've had many friends give up right before the uldah intriguev starts and it genuinely hurts.

i do think one of my favourite archetypes of characters is "unredeemable, but understandable." it's just such a painful way for a character to be written.

bicolour farming is much easier with better gear (the last two zones of an expac do not sync your ilvl, making them the most effective place to farm bicolours) I'm conflicted, as a crafter I would like to sell my shit more, but I also remember pre-sync how people would skip Endsinger cutscene

for group RP usually whoever leads it decides I think. For WoL Alais, I think she's around 25 as of post-DT (she starts out 19 in ARR). I tend to think that the patchs take about as much time per patch as the MSQ, which is usually pretty fast.
