I think Truman made a strong point. People often use the word ‘socialism’ to describe policies designed to help ordinary working people. I think the important thing is to look at what a policy actually does and who benefits from it, rather than focusing only on the label.

I honestly struggle to find much good to say about Trump. His style is so divisive, and I think his decisions often create more conflict than unity. I’d rather see a president who brings people together and puts the country’s interests ahead of personal politics.
