My kids convinced me into an anti-death penalty position. Too many errors and bias within the system. Plus, it’s fundamentally hypocritical. We are saying that murder is wrong, so we will punish you with murder. It is proven that the death penalty is not a deterrent to crime.

I agree with that. My family lives overseas so I have traveled most of my life…less so in the past decade. Last time I was in Europe, I was struck by how advanced they are now, as compared to the US. We have not developed at the same pace. Streets and buildings were in good repair, clean, modern.
