This felt serendipitous to see in my rewatch of The Broadway Melody today, Rest in Peace James Burrows whose work has had a big influence on me

Until I have more stop-motions to share, I’ll probably just enjoy posting photos of myself lol, but maybe today I’ll share an unfinished practice stop-motion I haven’t felt like completing

The worst thing about opening BlueSky is having to see 50 political cartoons about Donald Trump drawn as a baby

This was probably my favorite look of 2025! Excited to hopefully try new stuff this year!

Welp, this year Vitaphone hits 100, so now that we’ve given that whole sound on film experiment an honest go we can finally put that silly idea to rest and return to silent movies

If anyone is into early film musicals, tokusatsu generally, Showa Ultraman, Pokemon Gens 1-5 (but specifically Gen 3), Classic Doctor Who, early talkies, early film history, The Beach Boys, Jacques Rivette, and golden age animation, feel free to DM Me, I’m a lonely and very autistic trans girl lol

My old used up stop-motion models don’t get destroyed, they go into retirement playing cards together

I have literally never dated or kissed anyone and that needs to change fucking immediately

The best possible gift my parents could give me this year is the love and acceptance to finally use my real name and pronouns, but since that’s obviously not happening I guess I’ll bank on a Jacques Demy box-set or something

If anyone has nostalgia for kaiju stop-motions from the early 2010s, here’s an excerpt of one I made when I was 14, it takes place in a volcano, no sound tho

They need to make more transgendery Ultras, it’s been too long

The active genocide of trans people has begun and literally nobody knows. My boss just asked me how my day was going. What the fuck do I even say to that? We had our own livelihoods stripped from us, people we care about could die and nobody fucking knows. Im expected to keep plugging away? How?

I used to hate the 20’s talkies but I’ve grown to love how offbeat and strange they feel, that early on you get these bizarre, dialogue-heavy, stagey, clumsy movies that contrast insanely from the late silent gloss, yet many audiences were enchanted by these films, it’s kind of endearing
