I did this warm-up painting of SpiderGwen this morning! I have been focusing so much on picture book work that I haven't tried a piece of fan art in a long time. This was super fun!

Here is a caroling chipmunk on a well deserved cocoa break! Another nightly paint session on the iPad! Finally got all of the Christmas decorations up in the house! Feeling quite cozy!

A chipmunk, wearing a top hat, long coat and a scarf, sits on a bench in the snowy woods drinking from a warm cup of hot cocoa.

Here’s a winter badger that I painted up on the ole iPad last night! I have been absolutely inspired by the work of Chris Dunn recently, so I channeled a little bit of him in this piece! Huge thanks to @mindyalyseweiss.bsky.social and @brianlarossa.com for getting so many kidlit peeps here!

Well, I’m here now! To commemorate the occasion, here is a mouse on an ornament. 😃

A painting of a mouse, wearing a fetching blue hat and scarf, sits atop a red holiday ornament.
