By happy accident it turned out to be equivalent (from a certain point of view) to the simplest triangulation of the real projective plane (picrel)

ngl I think QC has a warped perspective on this, possibly on account of his own quasi-daddy-issues with EY (picrel from his substack post to substantiate my claim here) qchu.substack.com/p/eliezer But maybe more to the point/

This image has: - every RGB value between 1 and 10 times (on avg 4 times) - max channel diff between adjacent pixels 4/255 It's a discrete approximation of a 2/3-Hölder continuous measure-preserving surjection from the square to the cube - at infinite res it would have each color in equal measure

When I asked for Claude Fable's help with rendering a wormhole shaped like a trefoil knot by gluing germs of collars and interpolating between the ambient pullback metric and the product metric, Claude got what I was on about *immediately*, hence this gif. I don't know if I could find any human/

thank you but be careful not to take it too seriously, because i'm not sure if it's compatible with the existence of critical points in phase diagrams it might be instructive to figure out how my description breaks though

Wrong! bsky.app/profile/did:... the author who posted this refutation of OpenAI's proof also claims a proof of the Riemann hypothesis, see image standard issue crank

If I had a nickel for each time someone posted a kneejerk dumb-LLM refutation of a smart-LLM solution to a conjecture, I'd have two nickels that isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice

Which of these things are you asking? The gulf between the dumbest and smartest models is staggeringly vast. Claude Fable *immediately* got what I was on about when I started the project to render wormholes of arbitrary shape - here's one result of our collaboration, a trefoil wormhole flythrough.
