"Little things". If that doesn't encapsulate the tone deafness of this Admin not sure what else would. Other than maybe "suck it" or "eat cake, peons."

If Democrats win the House and Senate, and Trump knows the purse shuts off for the Iran war in January, and he knows hearings and investigations are coming, does he put boots on the ground after the midterms?

If a high probability of a progressive being elected, for sure we go that route. If low probability we need to play the odds. While they may not be "progressives", they may not always vote more centrist, we'd stem the bleed of current conservative actions and have opportunity to move the needle.

Beshear, Pritzker, Kelly, Shapiro. Our focus, near term, needs to be winning the WH and Congress. We can have goals, dreams, and ambitions for change, but none of that change can happen without taking those seats. And within our system, that takes catering to the Independent vote. Its just reality.

Price moderation is what happens when you're 6 to 9 million net negative barrels from your Stratgic Petroleum Reserves each week to keep prices down, which are now at national security issue levels. Have that inflow stop and we'll see another leg up in prices pretty quickly.

At the end of the day you can either let someone run roughshod over you through fear, in which case they own you, or you can hit them back with what they least expect. So, in this case, have at. It's a building. We'll build it back, even better, after he's gone.

Yet labor share is at a record low. So, labor's share of total output keeps declining, wages continue to not keep pace with inflation, and benefit costs are rising faster than worker's pay. Appears Metlife feels this is a sweet spot for corporate America, but it's certainly sour for US labor.

If we're a net negative 6-9 million barrels a week from our Strategic Petroleum Reserves, at what point do we reach a balance where we have National Security issues and their selling into the open market to manipulate prices has to stop? Or are they looking to make it up via hijacked Venezuela oil?

At 9 million net negative draw down on strategic petroleum reserves last week, at what level of reserves are we at a critical level (I've read 300 million?) and what happen is 4 to 5 weeks, at current net negative drawdown rate, when we hit that level?

You misconstrued, I never said don't be invested. Goldman, as the lead underwriter of the most AI deals, always talks their book. And they have a habit of doing so hard at tops. So positioning new capital at 22x forward PE? Not without a lot of thought and consideration.

Abby Joseph Cohen, Goldman Sachs, January 27, 2000 at World Economic Forum, Davos. "The U.S. stock market is not overvalued.....The U.S. economy still has quite a long way to go." Tech Bubble burst in March 2000. So, yeah, cool story Goldman, let me go out an load up on equities at these valuations.

Nearer mid terms, donations will pick up. Advice to Dems looking for money, start showing those of us with a wallet ready to open, some backbone, some visible fight with GOP (and not your own Party members), and give me a reason I should part with my hard earned money. Cuz right now, you look weak.

Cheery discussion from talking heads can't hide lower/middle income families struggling, credit card use (as you showed) the bridge to getting through a pay period, high interest loan defaults up, and only AI infrastructure capex + 20% of HNW accounting for 60% of consumption keeps economy growing.

Dems can be better than expected when focused. Too, voters can act differently than expected when seeking the ever elusive, "change". To win, Dems will need both those things to happen. A tall order, but not out of the realm of potential. Perhaps unlikely, but a modicum of possible.

Members wasn't meant as voters but those in Congress who continue to underwhelm in their dissent. Just because they're a minority shouldn't translate into acquiescence and silence. Instead, they should be shouting their disagreement as loud as they can on every platform they can, every single day.

Aside from becoming a cult in return, what then is the answer to defeating such a cultish opponent? Can a coalition be transformed into something more meaningful in the political arena? Or is doomed from the start, being such a temporary alliance?
