My novel MERU was given to an architecture studio class at U of WA to inspire their final projects. Here’s one student’s interpretation of an alloy, with incredibly detailed drawings of the interior and exterior physiology. I’m amazed and honored by their level of creativity and thoughtfulness!

Got an okay shot of the solar eclipse just now using special viewing glasses as a filter for my phone cam. There are much better photos circulating. :) I'm glad the clouds cleared enough to see it. The sky looks dark as night because the viewing glasses block out so much light.

I decorated this #IneffableHusbands birthday cake for my kid (we are big fans of #GoodOmens). Long Covid leaves me without the strength to bake, so I ordered a plain cake from Butter+Cream and did the fondant work and airbrushed colors for fun. The design is inspired by fan art by Nathan Bushi.
