End of day 1 of #RailwaysOnTheAir. We've been operating #GB0SDR from the Somerset and Dorset Railway Heritage Trust at Midsomer Norton South Station. Congratulations to Kenneth #M7MYU for handling his first on-air pileup. We'll be back tomorrow, when it's gala day for the S&D, so look out for us.

Series 30 SSTV: ISS at 25 and Scouts Update ARISS (@arissintl.bsky.social) posted at 19:57 on 16/11/2025: Link to original post. After 3 days of troubleshooting the ARISS ops team has determined SSTV Series 30 can not continue. Please follow ARISS social for updates on repair and future SSTV events. Original Post Information SSTV Series 30: Scrubbed The ARISS Radio in the Service Module used for SSTV is being taken out of service. ARISS SSTV Series 30 started Wednesday 12 November and sent images for about 2 hours before an issue occurred with the radio. Therefore, SSTV Series 30 has ended. Certificates will be available for those capturing the early images if they are uploaded to ariss-usa.org/ARISS_SSTV by 23:59 UTC on Tuesday 18 November 2025 Teams will determine when the next event will occur after additional troubleshooting takes place. The SSTV radio will currently only transmit for 4 seconds at a time. A backup radio, not configured for SSTV, will be put in place to serve several Russian STEM contacts this week.

Day 2 of 2 operating #GB0SBM from #SlatfordBrassMill in #MillsOnTheAir Propagation was against us, only adding ~20 QSOs to our log Rain and storms skirted us and we were packed away before the only major rain event of the day @kingnerd1963.bsky.social @bigbernie.bsky.social @m1acb.bsky.social

Unfortunately mobile phone coverage at our #MillsOnTheAir site is poor, and there is no WiFi available either, so we are not able to "live post" Here are a few pictures from #SaltfordBrassMill on Saturday 10 May 2025

We hoped to live post from today's "Airfields on the Air" but being"out in the sticks" we had poor coverage After it took the best part of 2 hours to send our frst post on another platform we dicided to just get on with the radio side of business Flat conditions improved but only 33 contacts

#FRAM2HAM is an upcoming SpaceX/Dragon mission that will be in polar orbit and will be sending #SSTV as part of an @arissintl.bsky.social competition at low power on 70cm As a taster and to help with station setup and honing of skills they are replicating some of the key conditions from the #ISS

We've just spotted this about the forthcoming Wiltshire Radio Rally on 1 December 2024. Due to the current weather parking will be more controlled than it has been in past years. Read their website: chippenhamradio.club/rally/ Call out to #G4WQG
