Tomorrow, Discord will place everyone into an age group using account signals. They claim 90% of users won't have to confirm their age. They are also introducing new verification methods if you do need to verify that you are an adult, including Credit Cards and App Stores.

More than 90% of you won’t be asked to confirm your age. Since our last post about teen safety, we've had to launch age assurance solutions in more places, including Texas and Brazil. Laws requiring age assurance are expanding around the world. Rather than waiting to be told how to do it, we’re launching our own privacy-preserving approach: one that reflects your feedback.
You can check your age group status at User Settings > Account Status. We've estimated your age group automatically from account signals like how long your account has existed or the kinds of servers you're a part of. We don’t look at your messages, calls, or other content. We're launching this over the course of this week, so it may take a few days to reach your account.
If you're in the adult age group (18+), nothing changes. If you're in the teen age group (13-17), you can keep messaging friends, joining voice calls, and participating in non-age-restricted servers, but with additional safety protections that block age-restricted content, spaces, and settings. Otherwise, Discord works the same. More on this below.
We've added several new ways to confirm your age, including some that don't require an ID or selfie (including credit cards). If you're an adult but weren't automatically placed in the adult age group, you can confirm your age group at any time by going to User Settings > Account Status. More on the new options below.

Discord is going to reintroduce Global Age Verification, which restricts teen accounts.
Teens will face several limitations:
- Blocked access to NSFW channels and servers
- Sensitive media automatically blurred in chats and direct messages
- Mandatory message requests for incoming texts

To lift these restrictions, unverified adults can confirm their age via one of the following options:

FYI the HUGE number of AI slop at GamesCom's opening night live is not a sign that the industry has normalized AI. It's a ploy to make you believe that. These games are all by the same 3 or 4 publishers. This is a concerted effort to make consumers accept AI.

there is no such thing as "age verification." All "age verification" is actually "identity verification." You can coat it in glitter and "privacy-preserving" wrapping paper. But in the end, mandating age verification means mandating surveillance be built into software and hardware. Period.

This is probably one of the last #artfight illustrations ima share. (Fankly cause i worked on this for like 2 weeks) but im happy with it and thats all that matters Anyway this was an vicious attack on @isi-daddy.bsky.social featuring a metal version of her favorite oc: Avarus! Also features Omega

A jet black, asymmetrical, leather jacket swirls with the energy of the stage performance, while his jeans look like they have been ripped several times. Ornately or due to sliding around on his knees on stage during his multiple hit wonders is unclear.

A fishnet shirt is all that adorns the well muscled abs giving the audience a wondeful view making Saira stare in amazement.

Blue and purple lights dazzle and arena, while the pan flag decorates his jacket and pick.

The dashing, sly, smirk lights up his blue eyes as he only has eyes for one specific person in the crowd.

For this next #artfight attack it was on @onisenkaiju.bsky.social ! I did a grey scale - which i still like this style even if no one else does- of their #ffxiv toon - Talias. Happy #artfight2026

Based on the lore I read Talias is not quite the normal embodiment of a wol, hes more of a unfortunate immortal that is being crushed by the weight of the universe and he has to get back up every time. Which i thought was a cool lore and i like work on ffxiv toons so i was happy to work on this.

It was a bit experimental as one of my earlier art fights to see if this was a style i wanted to portfolio over there but i abandoned the idea. Even though i really like it. Tbh why do i have to suck so bad, but anyway i hope you like the art a little at least.
