It's unfortunate about some kakampinks is that they rather priotize the reputation of a politician who had no interest in running for president. It didn't help they have a very dichotomous way of thinking with the "us vs them" mentality. In the end, they ended up becoming more like the DDS.

Done with Part 2 of the main story in Reverse 1999. Not as bombastic or stake-inducing as Part 1, but it did set a path for Part 3. The only impact is that the Zeno deserters still have a role in the upcoming chapters.

Celebrity stan culture in the PH is a parasocial bloodbath that usually leads into insults. Mixing politicians with stan culture hinders progress because of blind worship and not acknowledging flaws and constructive criticism.

I like that Forgotten Island has reignited the interest on Filipino folklore most especially our generation where we shared stories about our encounters with the duwende, kapre, tikbalang etc.

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:

Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

If there's anything I've learned from the discourse of Forgotten Island among Filipinos, it's just that hiya is very strong, which is why we are content with the bare minimum references. We're not used to our culture being in the forefront, and some are acting as if it's shameful.
