Now that I'm finally back home from Denfur I took the time to hang up the pieces I got from the art show. I knew exactly where they'd fit in my office Outer pieces from @42fangz.bsky.social and I didn't manage to get info on who the middle piece was made by. If someone knows please shout them out!

Trigger Warning - Mention of animal death; general vent about life

In the last 30 days I've had to deal with too much shit and I'm honestly so mentally, emotionally, and physically tired. I haven't had to feel and deal with this kind of compounded negative happenings since '18 and prior to that '15.

Our sewage lines had to be replaced, roof fully replaced, our dryer broke leading to get replacement parts and hours of manually fixing it, the kitchen faucet broke, husband caught covid... which led to me having to take care of him for nearly a week and sleep on the couch since he had to be quarantined, lawn mower and weed wacker broke, many many days of terrible sleep, one of my dogs drowned in our pool so oh boy new trauma there, and now our dishwasher broke and here I am with stomach trouble, depression, and on 3 hours of sleep cause now falling asleep, waking up, and to top it off showering alone and imagining myself using my pool ever again now triggers me.

In 30 days we've spent nearly $40,000 USD, lost a dear pet of 15 years, and gained new trauma.
I know I live a good life, and I can get through it, I've been through similar stuff, but not to this extent and it's breaking me. Drawing is difficult, playing games or watching TV is hard to do, but if I let my mind wander for even a second my heart hurts, the tears well up, and it becomes hard to breath.

Shit keeps happening and I have to keep moving forward...

Added Alt text. Real shame we had booked two rooms for 5 people and all of us put in time off of work... #furry #furrycon #FWLA #FurryweekendLA

Dear Furry Weekend LA, Today is a sad day for us as we bring you news that we will have to cancel our event for June 19th-22nd, 2025.
We have always strived to be as transparent as possible. The reasoning behind this cancellation is that we did not meet our hotel requirement for booked rooms, causing the required amount of money to open the door to triple. With our current financial situation, we are unable to proceed beyond this point.
All registration refunds will begin processing as soon as Monday, 6/2/25, evening.
Please reach out to the hotel, Hilton Los Angeles Airport, Phone: (310) 410-4000, for all hotel room cancellation requests.
If you wish to help with this and donate your registration to Howl Entertainment, please email us at Board@howlentertainment.org. We would be happy to write a letter for your donation for your taxes. We are deeply sorry for the disappointment this has caused. We are incredibly disappointed that we have let down our community.
Sincerely, Board of Directors, Howl Entertainment Inc.
