Hey @glitchprod.com, the warehouse that ships your limited edition stuff needs to do better. Pomni the popcorn bucket had seen things before she arrived on my front door today, and she's already got a deep scratch across the top. No padding whatsoever in the box. I'm just glad she's not broken.

Healing from surgery is going well, but I am moving slower than I anticipated. We took the bandages off today, and it looks like I have a hand 🍆. Not posting photos, I don't want to make anyone look at a surgical site without consent. So here are my nurses.

Hurray. Shrinkflation has hit Gatorade Zero packets. A month ago, a package at the same price had 10 sticks, not 8. I’m glad I’ve started making my own aqua frescas.

And here's the damage to my original case, which was Apple's Techwoven case. Just the volume buttons are no longer usable. It's not a fault with the case. I don't think "snatched out of one's hand during a windstorm" was on the use case scenario and it did its job. My phone is still pristine.

My first iPhone 17 Pro case sacrificed itself saving my phone, so I splurged on the PopSockets one. Super freak accident. The wind snatched my phone out of my hand and the fall destroyed the volume buttons. This was the case I originally wanted anyhow.

So we're halfway through January, which means it's the perfect time for me to post some of my favorite photos for 2025. Most of these I shot for work. I love my job, and it's really hard to pick favorites. I also shot a concert for a good friend and visited Montreal and had other adventures.

Someone did a massive fan edit of Babylon 5, recutting it into a series of movies. It's a fantastic piece of fan creativity and love of the original work People are mocking them for daring to do this. I said those being cruel should be ashamed of themselves. This is one of the responses I got.

I decided to keep the 105mm lens. The cost, way below even used sites, could not be beat. I will eventually get the 85mm. I wandered through Messiah University, testing it out. I didn't venture far because ... bees. Lots of bees. Too many bees, as you can see when you zoom in on the first picture.

I’m testing an 85mm and a 105mm lens and I am still stuck. The 85 is such a beautiful portrait lens. The 105 does decent portraits but the macros are just outstanding. First photo is Whisper at 85mm then at 105mm. Same settings applied.
