Please bear with us as the book return saga continues. The sign in the foreground, as you can see, now points to the mailbox instead of the book return (the dark green bin in the background). We're working on getting the sign removed. P.S. Please do not return books in the mailbox!

Folks, the book return in the parking lot just wasn't meant to be. We now have one book return, and it's the green one that used to be downstairs by the front door. You have to get out of your car now--please forgive us!

Not every book is "in the system." Some require copy cataloging while others original cataloging. Sausalito Library processes batches of such items by hand using time-honored methods, applying that artisanal touch for your maximum enjoyment.

We visited the downtown branch of the Lexington Public Library in Kentucky. What an amazing place! It was roomy, had a pendulum, friendly staff, and an awesome Friends of the Library bookstore in the basement. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore. These few photos don't do it justice.
