Remember back in 2015 when Nintendo put Super Mario Galaxy 2 on the Wii U eShop and offered it at $10 for the first week, good times.

Is today the day? Maybe. All that's left to do is wait and see.

Finally happy to have my hands on one.

I swear, if I hear another person set off a firework at 2:45 in the morning I might just turn communist.

So I decided to install and dual boot Arch Linux alongside Windows. In the process I: Broke both OSes trying to get them to fit together Spent three days trying to get anything working Probably caused some minor mental health damage Overall 10/10 Would Recommend

ngl, this is feeling kinda bleak for the future of gaming

Seeing Mario Kart World priced at $80 has kinda soured me on Switch 2 a bit. Makes me worried on the price of future games

I guess Bandai Namco is now in charge of reviving neglected Sony IP and I'm all for it.

At the rate we're going I highly doubt that Lawson will last past May with RedBull

I am currently contemplating throwing my PC out the window because something in my Windows installation is broken but I have no idea what, it is driving me mad.

000

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 06/03/2025

Took longer than expected, but I'm happy with the final result.

000

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 01/03/2025

After much internal pestering I finally watched Hundreds of Beavers. 9.4/10 I regret waiting this long to watch the film.

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 10/02/2025

So it seems like the Chiefs only lose the Super Bowls that take place the year AFTER beating the 49ers for one. I for one do not like this fact.

While continuing to go through my backlog, I have come to the conclusion that the Need for Speed games from the early 2010's are really good to the point where I consider it to be the second best era of the series.

000

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 01/02/2025

Throughout January I was able to remove six games from my backlog, some had been stuck there for years. I wish I was able to get through more but the last two weeks especially have severely hampered my drive to do, well anything really but especially game. For my sake I need to find that drive again

000

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 27/01/2025

So it looks like i'll be rooting for Kendrick to win the Super Bowl this year.

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

I only got the app about a month ago to test it out and to better understand what about it compels, and I can say that I now get the appeal of short-form content. I do hope that a Bluesky-like alternative is able to take off and fill the gap left after these past few days.

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

After today I decided to just completely delete TikTok. I hadn't been on the app since the temporary shutdown and recent news has made me never want to go back. To be honest, after deleting the app, account, and the burner e-mail used to set everything up, I felt a bit of relief.

And now, at least for the moment, it's gone. It feels weird to see it nonfunctional, like something's missing in the world right now

000

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 19/01/2025

It's funny that I finally start to understand TikTok right before I, and all of America, lose access to the platform. I wouldn't say that it ever fully clicked for me, but I see why it did for many.

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

I'm not sure how common of an experience this is but I'm finding myself having a much more fun and less stressful time playing Ranked matches in Rivals in comparison to Quick Play (Gold btw).

000

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 09/01/2025

And I just learned how to shot cancel with Warlock. Yea it's over for me

000

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 09/01/2025

I can't stop playing Marvel Rivals at this point it's too addicting and fun to put down. Support/Strategist main btw, mostly Adam Warlock

Took a bit over a day to beat my first game of 2025! It also continues my unintentional tradition of playing one BoxBoy! game a year.

Congratulations screen for perfect clearing every main level in Bye-Bye Boxboy!

000

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 01/01/2025

Now I did say this last year and the backlog only grew in that span, so who knows what's going to happen in that regard.

000

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 01/01/2025

And now 2024 is a thing of the past for me. This year I intend to get through my large backlog of games (for real this time, I have a spreadsheet and everything). The backlog is at 102 games as I type this, and my goal this year will be to get this number as low as possible.

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 28/12/2024

I felt the same thing going from a Samsung Galaxy S22+ to an S24+. The only real differences for me are a much needed storage increase (the only reason I upgraded) and a slightly better battery. Otherwise there is no tangable difference to the point where I sometimes forget I even upgraded.

I don't think I'll get a Balatro run this insane for a long time

I just had the most deranged game of UNO in my life and I wouldn't have it any other way.

000

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 24/12/2024

So in the span of one day I: Finished the Knuckles show Watched Sonic 3 Beat Generations after close to 4 and half years of it sitting in my backlog Beat Mania And bought Frontiers Is this what being motivated feels like?

000

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

Oh God I really am a Sonic fan now (there's no turning back from this)

000

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

Update: Yep, it was amazing

100

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

But with that out of the way, the fun can begin...

100

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

Finally got around to watching the Knuckles show. I personally liked it, though I can where the criticism comes from (Especially episode 4). I would rank it a bit below the first film, though not by much.

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 18/12/2024

Tbh, I'm a little dissapointed with how little I used the Switch this year. My desire to game never left, and time wasn't really an issue, but the drive and motivation to sit down and game just wasn't there this year. With Switch 2 releasing next year these numbers will likely go up, but we'll see.

One of the best feelings in life is hearing a song alot in your childhood not knowing who made it or where it came from, only to stumble upon it years later and get an instant burst of nostalgia. (Bonus Points if the song's still good)

000

Saul M. @saul17.bsky.social · 27/11/2024

After unlocking all the decks in Balatro I can definitively say that Black is the worst and least fun deck in the game.

Update 2: He finally found it, it only took him nearly 77 hours
