Satya @satyarohith.com · 25/02/2025You have a strong position here 👏 As black, moving d5 to d4 gives me few options. What happened next? 100
Satya @satyarohith.com · 25/02/2025I wasted a bunch of time by doing: result = (u64/u64) as f64 and expecting the above would yield a non-zero fractional part 🤣 000
Satya @satyarohith.com · 17/02/2025You can checkout github.com/danluu/post-.... I like it mostly because the incidents are categorised. I haven’t come across a website that indexes all the reports and you can search based on categories or keywords. A fun side project I guess.github.comGitHub - danluu/post-mortems: A collection of postmortems. Sorry for the delay in merging PRs!A collection of postmortems. Satya @satyarohith.com · 11/02/2025Throughout the times I took flight, I could recall only 2-3 times that I encountered a women pilot. This intrigued me and I looked up a report by IATA and around ~5% of pilots at global level are women and to my surprise India leads at 14% women pilots. www.iata.org/contentasset... 210
Satya @satyarohith.com · 07/01/2025Haha, we’re all Dune fans! I rewatched both the parts 3 times and I never felt bored. I watched Dune 1 in OTT and instantly regretted having not watched it in theatres. I like both the parts but Dune 1 is my favourite. The slow and thorough intro to the universe is just mind blowing. 110

Satya @satyarohith.com · 22/12/2024I prefer doing it on a paper. There’s something more satisfying about seeing the feedback in physical form. 000
Satya @satyarohith.com · 30/11/2024That’s much better than having to manually copy and paste—thanks for letting me know! :) 000

Satya @satyarohith.com · 24/11/2024I want to call bsky the butterfly app so i was wondering how about “flaps” bsky can’t grow without posts, just as butterflies can’t fly without flapping their wings this reasoning might not make sense 000

Satya @satyarohith.com · 12/11/2024It's better to use something like github.com/sindresorhus... to delete files instead of `rm -rf` or be conscious about what you are doing. 000
Satya @satyarohith.com · 12/11/2024I deleted Documents folder instead of Downloads by mistake and forgot about it for three days. iCloud recovery came to the rescue. ➜ ~ history | grep -C 1 -i 'documents' 6481 ls Downloads 6482 rm -rf Documents 6483 cd Downloads 100

Satya @satyarohith.com · 08/11/2024These power lines have electric field around them and they induce small charge on nearby objects. When I’m riding under, both the cycle and my body gets charged up but hold different potential. As soon as I touch the metal part, the potential neutralises resulting in a small shock. 110
Satya @satyarohith.com · 08/11/2024Quiz time: why do I feel a small shock when I touch the metal parts of my bicycle while riding under the power lines? 100
