Figure on peer effects of using father’s quota of parental leave by focal father’s education level and time of birth of the focal father’s child, for first-time fathers only. Peer effects are higher for low-educated fathers. For highly-educated fathers, peer effects are lower and declining over time.

Figure showing conditional peer effects of the usage of father’s quota of parental leave based on the number of earlier quota users since 2009 in the workplace before the peer, for first-time fathers only. Generally, peer father’s quota use had the largest impact when few or no preceding fathers had used quota. Peer effects were larger for low-educated fathers and smaller and strongly declining for highly-educated fathers.
