We aren’t doing Thanksgiving so no major cooking for me. As a vegetarian I generally just eat sides anyway lol Mum asked me to stop and get her some cookies on the way to see her but thought I would mKe them instead. What did you make?

Woke up w/a migraine but made a huge amt of oatmeal raisin cookies for Mum. She loves them, & since the kid & I are going to her place in the morning I thought I’d bake some. I hate them so have no idea if they turned out okay. Tomorrow I’m making date, nut, & chocolate energy bites for my big bro

Today I passed a mother pushing her baby in a stroller and I told her that her hair was fabulous! Shiny, wavy, black, with a fringe! Gorgeous!! On the way back home a woman told me I looked beautiful! 😊💗 Women lifting women! What a great day!

I’m at urgent care. I got here at 8:30 to wait in line until they opened at 9. Finally in a room and waiting to be seen by the doctor.

Went fo urgent care at 7 (they close at 9), but they said the doctors are all booked so I couldn’t see anyone. I left and cried in my car. I am so sick and alone and just wanted help. The ER has a 6.5 to 8 htlr wait time so I’m not going there. So now I am just crying and coughing in my room.

I woke up sick. I am doing a three month contract, that pays horribly but it pays, so I went in to the office. I feel worse. I am coughing, sneezing, stuffed up, blah. I drove 48 mins home after work, got changed, went to the store, got some OTC meds, orange juice, and am now in bed. Ugh.

There won’t be a story this week. I don’t have it in me to record. I have no money coming in, I have applied to more jobs than I can count and I just get rejections. If I don’t find a job I will eventually not be able to pay rent and will be homeless with my kid.

I can’t understand complaining about what people are doing and claiming it’s not enough while they aren’t doing anything. And the assumption the protesters aren’t doing anything else. It was like they expected the protesters to jump in front of people being snatched to stop it. Crazy.

There is nothing quite like being woken up because you seem to have food poisoning and are so sick you lay down on the bathroom tile floor after… kinda dying a little… because your entire body is sweating. Ugh. I feel terrible.

I always reply to people who have interviewed. An auto email that gets sent out when people apply is great, and most places do it. But I would never not communicate with people who have interviewed, even if I don’t have an answer yet.

Absolutely! Thing is, my kid was going to take some classes there, and I plan to go back to school and had intended to go back to my old college to finish my counseling coursework. After my experience, they are no longer a consideration, which makes me so sad.

I appreciate it. I am 54 and have been in recruiting for over 20 yrs. I have watched it go from professional to this over my career and it is so frustrating. So many candidates have told me they feel ignored so I work hard to make sure they don’t feel like that when working w/me. It’s disappointing

6/6 but to give feedback on how candidates feel when they receive no communication. A few hours later HR finally reached out to tell me they went with another candidate. 84 days after my interview The posting remains on their website, asking for candidates, for a role they claim they have filled.
