A beautiful afternoon walk at @wanuskewin.com, #yxe, with a powerful wind blowing, called yôtin in plains Cree. Thanks to all the IRS survivors who shared their stories, teachings, culture and art. #OrangeShirtDay #Respect, #Reparations, #LandBack #Truth before #Reconciliation. #cdnpoli #skpoli
Photo: a very large painted design of orange shirts, red hearts, floral patterns and "Every Child Matters" is painted on a wide pavement encircling a bronze statue of a buffalo running fast. Two people wearing orange shirts sit talking in the background. Sun shines over grassy fields, a few trees and blue skies in the background. Taken at Wanuskewin Heritage Park north of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on Treaty 6 territory, on Sept. 30th, National Truth and Reconciliation Day.

Extreme Fire Risk Alert – Saskatoon Region. Meewasin urges everyone to use extreme caution as fire danger conditions are very high across the Saskatoon region. Strong winds, warm temperatures, and extremely dry grasses have created conditions where fires can start easily and spread rapidly. #yxe
