Tried my hand at another Hubble Palette / SHO edit. This time, I worked on Messier 17. Really happy with the result. 32h of total exposure time. #astrophotography #astronomy

Got a new telescope with more focal length. Had to give it a shot on Saturn and it came out quite nice actually. Askar 111F, 3X Barlow lens, ASI220MM Mini on the left and ASI2600MC on the right. #astrophotography

I just joined a group of people to share the costs of hosting telescopes at a remote observatory. Having access to Bortle 1 skies makes such a difference ... Just finished editing a two-panel mosaic of NGC 7000. 28h total exposure. #astrophotography #astronomy

Before anyone asks. This was shot on a monochrome camera. The histogram was manipulated to invert colors while keeping the darkest parts (the background) actually dark instead of bright. And after editing it, I realized the image was even flipped upside down.

While not a scientifically accurate representation, this was my shot of the 2026 partial solar eclipse over Germany with an Acuter Elite Phoenix 40 solar telescope and a ToupTek G3M678M. #astrophotography #astronomy

Took the opportunity to re-edit my M42 and get rid of the artifacts from my previous attempt. 24h of total exposure time went into it at the end of 2025, shot at 400 mm in RGB. For this season, I am going to finish my Horsehead x M42 at 180 mm in narrowband. #astrophotography #astronomy
A colorful image of the Orion nebula, also known as Messier 42.
