I kinda hoped it would,I know that helps my anxiety as well. I would recommend regular mouth wash, definitely take all the antibiotics as prescribed, ending early can cultivate resistant bacteria. And do try to get it taken care of as soon as you can. But you should be fine for the near future =)

So, hopefully my words here might help with the fear, as I know a bit about the situation =)

To be expected, some of that surrounding tissue probably died due to the infection and pressure. The remaining pulp is probably rotten, yes, but it'll take infection to cause real trouble. I've been living with four teeth that were apparently hollow, and are now just shells at the gum for years.

Especially with antibiotics, that week course should stop the infection, just didn't end the treatment if you still have pills left. It's gonna be ok

So, just a couple things to consider. Are you running a fever? Do you have inflammation in the rest of your face? Any noticeable redness of the skin above the abscess area? And is the abscess draining? If the first three are a no, and you've got at least some drainage, you should be all right.

Got in a car crash today. Other driver ran a stop sign, plowed right into the driver side rear. Car still drives, and their insurance should cover it. But this is really the last thing I needed. I'm so tired.
