This is a recurring thing that comes up every time Deadlock has dropped a new batch of heroes and at a certain point people just have to admit the game isn't for them instead of complaining that the fact it's a MOBA means they don't get to enjoy the characters how they'd like.

Even more than Street Brawl mode already does, which is pretty much just round-based ARAM with randomized items. Given that Valve has the old Risk of Rain 2 devs working for them on Deadlock, I hope the "Coop PVE with roguelite elements" rumors are true for whatever the new mode will eventually be

The recent update came with a short dev blog that confirmed they are working on alternate game modes that expand the scope of the game, though they did not reveal any yet but I definitely think there is a good chance they make a side mode to cater to people who don't like MOBAS

I've been in it for awhile and every time a new update drops I see a lot of this, people frustrated that the game is a MOBA and disliking it for that. Which at that point I think is just the game's genre not being something you like. I love the strategy depth the item system gives personally.

they do have the old Risk of Rain 2 devs working for them now so the people they have working on Deadlock can certainly make a killer PVE co-op shooter within the universe of Deadlock and I mean you can already see hints of roguelite-ish influence in the pick one of 3 upgrades thing in Street Brawl

All but confirms some of the rumors that had been going around about them doing a PVE mode beyond just bot matches. They're naturally a bit hesitant to commit to confirming anything yet because game dev just goes like that, testing a lot of modes that may not make it into the final version, but....

I've been really enjoying it so far! The new map looks so good! I'm waiting eagerly for all the new heroes but all my votes have been going to Baba. Rat King winning the first vote was unsurprising, every time they do voting for these hero drops, the Creature always wins lol.
