My second unpopular opinion is that they are distorting the truth when they say it would be cheaper to have two babies separately. Twins are definitely more expensive than a single birth, but not significantly more expensive than 2 singletons over time.

I did share an Australian study that showed improved performance for pilots that flew in mixed gender crews, but data means nothing (got the ol "I don't care who I fly with"... the point needed it's own flight plan on that one, apparently!)

It's not law in Australia, so if a company has affirmative action policies, they are doing it by choice :-) the law does allow for protected class hiring, but no one is obligated to do it.
