To mark the end of Desmoid Tumour Awareness Month, we’re pleased to share that Sarcoma UK are supporting the launch of a new online support group for people affected by desmoid tumours, starting on 21 October. Registration for the group will be opening soon.

A huge thank you to Chris, who completed an Ironman 70.3 in support of Sarcoma UK, raising money and awareness in memory of his wife, Laura, who died from sarcoma in April 2023. After a slipped disc earlier this year, reaching the start line made the achievement even more special.

VAT on compassionate access medicines has been raised again in Parliament. Danny Beales MP highlighted Sarcoma UK cases where people with sarcoma have been unable to access medicines previously provided free of charge. The Government has paused VAT while it works on a permanent solution.

The Sarcoma UK online bereavement support group is open to anyone over 18 who has lost someone to sarcoma and whose loved one received care in the UK. Meetings are held on Zoom, last 90 minutes, and focus on shared experiences and mutual support. Sign up at sarcoma.org.uk/bereavement-...

A huge thank you to nine-year-old Connie, who spent the last few weeks making bracelets and wristbands to sell at her school’s summer fayre, all in support of Sarcoma UK. 💙 Connie planned and ran the stall herself, raising funds in memory of her cousin Callum, who sadly died from sarcoma.
