anyway... recently updated the reset icon to be more theme-y and made the spacing tighter 😄

header of my website, with four buttons. left is the index link and link to entries, on the right is a reset theme button and a theme toggle. the reset toggle is a color palette icon with an counter-clockwise arrow around it

in case you want more feedback 😅 imo the separator makes it a bit ambiguous to what "Auto" is referring to, and i first read it like the toggle thinks the current selection is Auto, but it's for switching _to_ light/auto. maybe (auto) in quotes without separator would work better?

i feel this is a good trade off if you want to give users the most control, even though i see your point that this is possibly too niche of an edge case to justify. did i do the UX version of premature optimization, or does this just suck too?

initial state: single toggle that flips away from current system theme

after clicked: two toggles, use system preference, or flip theme

Very nice! I did notice it asking me to answer an or question with yes or now 😬

Screenshot of "Alt text decide-o-matic" tool linked above. It's asking me to answer "Is the image purely decorative or not intended for the user?" with either Yes or No
