Eery poster for this performance that shows a the partial torso vague figure lit in blue against a black background; the poster's text is in red with the film title "Häxan" largest and centered, the rest of the poster gives the event details (Sunday, 10/18; 2-4p; free; on the third floor of the Detroit Public Library main branch on Woodward Avenue) and the artist roster (included in the post's main text)

I left the house & Fela + Ginger joined me

A woman ( Sara Tea) stands behind a DJ booth in a dimly lit, basement-style venue, illuminated by red and purple lighting. She smiles at the camera while holding up a vinyl record with a red cover that reads “Roots Record Smith in Dub,” featuring a black-and-white portrait illustration. Turntables, a mixer, and a spinning record are visible on the table in front of her, along with a small folded sign. Exposed brick, pipes, and string lights create an intimate, underground music setting.

A hand holds up a vinyl record with a red-tinted cover reading “Fela Ransome-Kuti and The Africa ’70 with Ginger Baker — Live!” The cover shows musicians performing on stage. In the background is a small, dimly lit music venue with exposed brick, pipes, and a low stage holding microphones, drums, and other equipment, suggesting an intimate live performance space.
