One of the plenty projects I want to return to is my "Haunted Mesozoic" series. It was an ink drawing series of #paleoart with a more eerie take on its subjects. It was part of #inktober. But I think I make it its own thing #sciart #palaeoart #dinosaurs.

Line drawing of a small Dinosaur for a colouring sheet.

Cartoon of the OtterFlag Otters, based on Our Flag Means Death. Ed and Stede having breakfast in bed. Between them lies a huge catfish with a glorp orange marmalade on its head and potatoes with red strings around hanging out of its mouth. Stede is holding a potato with string around.

Dialogue:

Stede: "a potato with a string around."
Ed (visibly flustered): "Yeah, I tried to decorate. But then panicked. You have no idea how many potatoes with string around fit into a catfish..."
Stede: "It's charming. ❤️"

Yes, during actual 9/11 my mind defaulted to the 1940s Empire State Building incident as well. Then, in 2003 we had an incident in Frankfurt, Germany. Some bloke stole a small plane and circled with it between the skyscrapers of the bank district (called Manhattan, due to the Main River) 1/2

For some reason, I think a lot about the Yeongno, a figure of the traditional Korean Talchum masked dance. It has to eat 100 rich and greedy people to regain its celestial form and return to heaven. #sketchbook #mythology #folklorecreature

Black and white ink drawing of a man-eating Yeongno. It has a masked face resembling an anteater and is playing a willow flute. It also wears a traditional gat hat . It's body is serpent like and covered in fine fabric with some scale patterns. From the fold of the fabric several human arms sprout, appearing to be trying to flee or plead.

Pretty much my take on current day happenings. From Greenland down to the weird Disoriented Penguin Meme, that completely misrepresents the actual scene in the Werner Herzog documentary. I went with the persistent #polarbear, patiently following tracks in the snow. #digitalart

A polar bear is following disoriented zigzagging tracks in the snow. On the left side is a ripped apart upside-down United States flag. The bear walks towards mountains, while in the sky polar lights are glowing.

After a long break, here something new from the otters from #OtterFlag . I honestly don't know why I didn't come up with that banger of a joke earlier, given Ed's canon love for Lavender soap. #ofmd #OurFlagMeansDeath #GentleBeard #GentleOtter

Two Panel Comic strip of the Pirate Otters. Stede is in the background, rummaging through a chest with toiletries, searching for Lavender soap. Ed sits in the foreground looking innocent. Stede says: "That's so weird! I could have sworn that there was at least one bar of Lavender soap in there." The second panel shows Ed burping a lavender soapy hiccup. Stede just looks on in understanding very mild irritation.

I finished my newest colouring page for my Dinosaur colouring book. This time featuring Sinosauropteryx, a fuzzy little theropod with a fabulous striped tail. You can support my work on ko-fi.com/saralutra I will also make soon the first colouring pages available for download.

Linedrawing of a small dinosaur with a striped tail, running through the thicket, and looking at a large dragonfly. In between the ferns and mushrooms is also a small, shrew like mammal hiding away from the dinosaur.

This one is Cryptid art but also nostalgic #Dinosaur art to me. The Arica Monster sightings described an animal reminiscent of the Raptors from Jurassic Park, or some Bird-Kangaroo-Lizard creature. I went more with Raptor for the sake of nostalgia.

Third one for #Cryptoctober, based on the list by @bestcryptids.bsky.social . Rock Apes were reported during the Vietnam War. They were described as monkey, ape, even hominidlike. Rock Apes had the habit of throwing rocks, hence the moniker. #cryptozoology #art #sketchbook

Second #drawing for #cryptoctober. Pach-an-a-ho is an alleged cryptid, looking like Gastornis, an extinct large flightless bird. There were claimed sightings in 1975, and also it's allegedly known to the Yakima tribe. The name is supposed to mean "crooked beak" or "rough looking bird" in Yakima.

First entry for #cryptoctober . I used the list by @bestcryptids.bsky.social as they feature lesser known #Cryptids. Like Cleary's Fish, a Deep-sea Fish claimed to have been witnessed by a diver in a dive bell. #cryptozoology #art #drawing

Pencil drawing of a rather bizarre looking fish.
