Just sharing a few powerful, #inspirational #writing tips I've recently heard. 1. Voice: Be brave enough to be yourself. Try writing the way you speak! 2. Novels: Complicate your characters not your plot. 3. Characters: Ensure they have agency. Have them ACT in scenes. #amwriting 😘✍️💪

I think I've written another duff novel. I think it's the wrong story, the wrong tone, the wrong time. On top of that, it's set in Nottingham and involves a man with psychosis. Now, an understandably unpopular theme. 😢 Agents like my writing, but never the book. Always the bridesmaid... Querying 😱

My mum told me she was reading me a bedtime story (when I was a child, that is), and the word FOREBEARS cropped up. And, at the end of the story, I disappointedly said, "but what happened to the four bears?" Must've really ruined the story for everyone 😬
