This kid and I started singing in our Unitarian Universalist choir in 2017 for self care and community. COVID decimated the choir, and it’s never been the same. Acceptance said I had to quit or find a new reason for going. This kid is my reason. Time together. Singing together, even when it’s hard.

I so want to completely delete myself off meta apps. But a friend from England asked me not to go. I hiked with her husband in Zion one day in 2007, and she and I “met” & have been FB friends since. I can’t walk away from that friendship. So I will probably stay, but delete the apps form my phone.

Spouseman and I went to the Hof Germanfest yesterday, and I felt the most wonderful nostalgia from my years in Germany as a child. I felt joy holding my beer up during a song and realize that’s how I have to get through the next four year. Seeking joy. And maybe drinking beer.

Lifted trucks should be illegal. My kid was hit while walking. A nurse in another car at the scene checked them over and said they’d be bruised, but were urging them to get check out at the ER. At least the guy didn’t run and provided his insurance info. No idea yet if police were involved.
