Funny story, my friend mixed up two band names and thought we were seeing someone totally different. 😂 But he ended up loving it. And we had amazing seats. And it was such a good time and such great music and I'm riding soooo high on this one. Ooooh!! So good! 🤗

As we learned on @drawfeeshow.com stream this week they are asking these construction workers to draw the two hardest things in the world: a straight line and a bicycle.

Three construction workers who are looking down at a half finished street marking of a bike lane. It is marked in loosely with spray paint where a picture of a cyclist should be and it's not quite right. The photo is taken out my window from a distance.

One construction worker is looking down at the now complete marking of a cyclist in the bike lane. It is about a foot shorter than the original sketched in spray paint drawing. It still isn't quite right. I think it might be temporary because surely they don't normally freehand these things.

Ok I've looked it up and this is quite a respectable map! Cartographer Queen. Next I will try to work out this code that appears where the stamp should have been. 🤔

Got a lovely handmade postcard today by the endlessly talented @helen-rosemier.bsky.social - I don't know much about Dutch geography so I don't know if it's an accurate map of Zeeland or an abstract painting under the influence of drugs after she broke her ribs in a cycling accident...

Very cool show tonight from Pamela Z at Time Spans. Really fun and interesting! Experimental vocal and electronics solo performance. Glad I made it out in spite of 36 hours of nearly unrelenting nausea and a brief hint of a migraine 🥴 Time Spans is not for the weak.

Needed a treat to make up for going to two doctors appts in four days... enter Breads Bakery tomato season menu and the pizza boureka. 🤤 Surprisingly zingy. Crisp exterior, flaky interior, herbs and cheese on top, cornmeal crust on bottom. Tomato and cheese inside. So good.

Sitting in the round for JACK Quartet at Time Spans. Got a nice comfy corner spot in one of the short chairs (one quirk about this venue is that all the chairs are slightly different and if you have a bad back/hip/knee you will quickly develop a preference; I like the short ones).

They've enormously expanded the sidewalk on 9th Avenue where I always walk to the subway with 6 friends after Time Spans for ten nights a year and it's the best thing that ever happened to me. Walking together with six people on a crowded Manhattan sidewalk with 3 disabled people is hell 😅

If you click on the "modes" button it brings up this menu. There's also options to minimize walking and transfers. Things you learn when you are disabled! (Buses are better since there are no stairs so sometimes I will look for all-bus routes)
