Obtaining Andy Burnham’s commitment in Parliament to secure Jodrell Bank’s future was important, but so is the follow-up work needed to make that a reality. Tim Roca and I are continuing to work with government officials, Jodrell Bank and the University of Manchester to secure its scientific future.

No one should face consequences for reporting harassment or abuse at work. I recently hosted a roundtable on progress since #MeToo and the protections still missing. As Co-Chair of the Women and Work APPG, I'll keep pushing for stronger safeguards and accountability.

Suffering a bereavement or loss of a pregnancy is one of the most painful experiences a family can go through. Too many people have not had access to taking the time they need to grieve. From April 2027, Labour is changing this, with new legal rights to allow you to take 2 weeks of leave.
