I think the best path to getting our demands met is with a general strike - protests are good, boycotts are better but still not enough. This is what the trolley problem really looks like. Capitalists control the levers of power. Every time they cut corners on safety measures, every time they lobby against safety or environmental regulations, they are choosing their own profits over YOUR health and safety. This is not a just system.

For-profit health care is so dumb. Humana decided to drop my oncologist so I had to get a new Med Adv plan. Found one that covers my onco and PCP, but I have to find a new psychiatrist because even though she *is* covered she's in a diff medical group than the other two. M4A would fix this shit!

Lot of talk about "defending democracy." In the US, we don't really have democracy in the first place because we allow money in politics. Dems are owned by their rich donors just like Reps are, that's why they won't support M4A. Support local and state candidates who don't take PAC money.

Under capitalism, the only consideration is the profit motive. If it's profitable it happens even if it causes harm. If it's not profitable it doesn't happen even if it would help people. We need socialism, under which the main consideration is well being of the people and the planet.
