Even though I'm a big space nerd, I have to admit my favorite part of the job is the people. These past few weeks cemented that for me, as I see brilliant and passionate people gathering and working together for a shared peaceful outer space environment. ✨💖

This week we held a side event to the OEWG on how the Space Security Portal enhances transparency for space security and celebrated the fact that all UN Member States profiles have been completed! It's been such a labor of love to work on this project for the past few years!

New commentary from yours truly! ✍️ At #OS26 I spoke on the space-nuclear nexus. We face a double challenge where the lingering shadow of the nuclear age meets new space-centric risks that old logic just can’t solve. Read my full @unidir.org piece here: unidir.org/the-long-sha...

Ok here's a very niche bit of history that is new to me. 🌐UN Sci-Fi🌌 worlds collide. Arthur C. Clarke spoke to the Conference on Disarmament on the Prevention of an Arms Race in Outer Space in 1982. (Technically it was the Committee on Disarmament since the CD wasn't born yet but not important).

Some interesting news. ABL Space Systems is pivoting to missile defense from space launch services. Why is it interesting? This is the first case I know of like this, where a co. with dedicated launch intent transforms to missile services. 1/ payloadspace.com/abl-pivots-t...
