“Now do a silly one” ahh frog (April) 🐸😝📸

A bright green frog sits in a gray plastic water bowl. The frog has a very prominent overbite with her bottom lip uncomfortably curled inward. Even though her mouth is deformed, she has warm golden eyes that read as happy. Her hands resting on the front side of the bowl as she looks at the camera with a big awkward smile.

Happy #Friday everyone. Today's lack of posts has been brought to you by annoying RL stuff 🙄. Here's an #awesome Southern Pink-striped Oakworm #Moth, #Anisota pellucida to usher in the #weekend! #fujifilm X-S10, #Laowa 65mm #Macro #MacroPhotography #photography #Invertebrates #insects

A focus-stacked photo of the front of a fuzzy orange and dusky pink moth. The moth's legs and hump shaped head and forebody are covered in thick orange fur-like scales. The dark eyes are just seen at the underside of the head. The wings are orange along the lower 2/3rds and front, with a white spot visible near the front. The edges and backs of the wings are a dusky orangish pink.

A Focus-Stacked image of the moth's front from the side showing the orange fuzzy head and legs and the forewing in greater detail.

A photo of the moth from above showing the overall triangular arrowhead-like shape of the moth, and the wings with their dusky pink upper and rear margins. The moth's furry abdomen can just be seen peeking out from the shadows of the wings.

Limoniid crane fly (#iNat suggests genus Pilaria) with legs that go on for days. #flyweek #bugsky #insects

Side view of crane fly with orangish body, bulging in the thorax and slender in the abdomen, with tiny head dominated by dark eyes, antennae pointing straight up, and long thin legs splayed out and reaching down , keeping the fly about 2-3 body lengths above the leaf on which it stands.

I managed to turn up an hour later than the official start time for @pennybrohn movement and dance but enjoyed meeting the ladies around a cuppa and snapping this on the walk back.
