Hey ChatGPT, what should I buy?

Shoppers are using AI to research products, but how big of a deal is this really for brands? For Thingtesting, I took a look: thingtesting.com/stories/ai-b...

Hey ChatGPT, What Should I Buy? | Thingtesting
Shoppers are asking AI to find products that suit their very specific needs, and brands want to make sure they are the answer. But when a shopping journey starts with a chatbot, what gets lost?

I spent 6 months living in the woods last year and I'm still catching up to the real world. Do brand founders hang out on here like they used to on Twitter? I want to speak to you for a Thingtesting story about shoppers discovering/researching products via AI! Msg if you can help. :) #journorequest

Parents: have you bought skincare for your baby or child? (E.g. Bubble, Rini, EllaOla, Palorama, etc) I'm reporting a Thingtesting story on kids' skincare. What attracts you (or your kids) to these products? Are they needed? You can be anonymous. My DMs are open & reposts would be appreciated!

It's been 18 months since I finished hiking the Appalachian Trail. Now I’m off on another adventure, to hike the Pacific Crest Trail! 🥾🏕️ A career break is nerve-racking. Last time I worried I was short-circuiting momentum; in fact it was reenergising & made room for new opportunities. Such as…

Fascinating, although I'm not sure it's only a 'sense of shame' holding women who want to do this back... there are a myriad of practical considerations - finances, career, etc - to make if you plan to be a truly solo parent. www.theguardian.com/society/2024...

As a freelancer, I often jump at the opportunity to work from a client's office a few days a week. I'm more productive and getting to know your colleagues/the ways of working is way quicker in person (imo). I'm surprised these policies still get so much backlash: www.theguardian.com/business/202...

The last person I blocked on X did not follow me, interact with my posts or message me - he is someone who is known to me in real life and was monitoring my social media activity across multiple platforms. i.e. an obsessive and a stalker. Now it seems the only option is to make my account private?

I'm planning a big adventure for 2025 and it's made me nostalgic for last year's Appalachian Trail hike. One of the best times of my life! So, inspired by @derinhiking.bsky.social, I'm going to post a pic a day from that trip. Follow along if you're curious what 6 months of hiking looks like 🥾🐻🏕️

Earlier this year I worked on a big, meaty report for Sifted. It's all about how to build a B2B SaaS startup that stands out — and can scale — in the current economic climate. And it's just been published! Check it out: sifted.eu/intelligence...

It was so much fun putting this article together, going through all my journals and photos, and figuring out how to distill the experience into 1000-ish words. I think about the trail every day and the memories make me so happy. I am very grateful to have been able to do this.

Since being back at work, I've had quite a few instances of people agreeing to/arranging calls and then just not showing up. No explanation, follow up or anything. This rarely happened before. What's going on? Is it just me? If you are a Zoom ghoster: why?

Environmental neuroscience is a fascinating topic. I hiked 2,200 miles in one go this year, and something I noticed was how often I'd have aha moments while walking. I'm now trying to fit more nature time into my work week! www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle...
