Since I'm already in a rut from sad entertainment, I decided to finally sit down and finish this book I started 7 months ago 🫣 Most of it is great! Some parts are a little outdated but this was published 10+ years ago and science is always changing.

Okay but this has happened recently in a local chat twice and I can't put into words the feeling you get watching someone post about something so vulnerable, sandwiched between random furry boop stickers, completely ignored. Worse, when one person replies and goes "Who?" instead of "sorry" 💀

Talking about media today, my wonderful aunt and mother suggested Baby Reindeer to me to watch when I got home later. Jesus Christ. The timing for this was even worse than last night's movie. Insanely powerful piece. I'm too familiar with the dark topics. The fourth episode ripped into me.

Oh so the nonspecific burnout my doctor and therapist suggested a year ago is likely autistic burnout. Been doing a LOT of reading and everything (the last ~4 years) is starting to make sense huh

Deeply turned off by individuals who are incapable of saying "sorry," because they are apathetic towards other's misfortunes, or because they are unwilling to admit to any wrongdoing. Regardless of the situation, equally bothered by the people in their orbit who enable them to be that way.

I've only been able to listen to 'Javelin' maybe three times since it was released due to the dedication to his late partner, I don't know why I'm so emotional about that one but can cry through 'Carrie & Lowell' yet keep listening. Same with "Casimir Pulaski Day."

A year ago NPR published an interview with Sufjan Stevens discussing the 10 year anniversary of 'Carrie & Lowell' where he admits he's embarrassed of the album despite it being his most popular piece of work. Breaks my heart reading he feels that way about his art and his grief/loss.

I'm used to sewage from my childhood home's plumbing issues + studio pipe exploding last summer, but I haven't dealt with a mouse getting into my shit since I was a kid and I forgot they just piss EVERYWHERE and it stinks. Double whammy having both on the same day

Spent a big chunk of yesterday taking down the majority of my garden after the Nor'easter killed most of it off. Still managed to get a really impressive haul and my strawberry plants are popping off for a third time this year!! Considering making a broth + will process a lot of the basil for pesto
