"Communities" don't exist online anymore imho, only herds

Localized decentralization, offline community-building, deconveniencing, reskilling and relearning to feel/channel our full range of emotions are existential necessities at this point. It's literally a matter of ease vs agency, babes

and as the markets go into liquidation mode, the first commodity they'll focus on will be user data (behavioural & biometric) by way of intensified capture systems. Algorithms and devices will become more granularly adaptive, everything will pivot to capture. Free will will become fully marketized

I hope the people getting excited about the AI bubble potentially bursting are also staying aware that the tech corps most likely to survive the bust (NVIDIA, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon) are set to hold more global power than previously fathomable

but I can actually remember the experiences very well, they're just stored within the context of a child's mind experiencing them, who had only potent emotion and imagination to interpret the experiences. When I remove the "stories" of those memories my identity feels more resolved.

Adding to "recreate and edit on recall": we subconsciously layer temporal context and narratives over our memories as well. I used to believe I couldn't remember my childhood – my memories didn't resemble family photos or stories –

How does individual identity persist within a culture defined by algorithmic capture? What parts of a person stay unique to themselves when their lives become extensions of a marketized system?

It's like their ability to receive irl information is suspended by a predetermined matrix where anything unsanctioned just can't land. Every response refers back to the platforms somehow, every event or idea they mention or describe has already been consumed and validated by their feed

After enough distance from social algorithms (Meta's especially) the eeriest thing is speaking to a friend who still uses those systems heavily and realizing they *sound like an algorithm*

Probs one of the biggest weakness of any ideological belief system is that it can be easily deciphered algorithmically, and from there just as easily predicted, mimicked, mutated and propagated.

Our communication systems have been marketized by the platform economy, and in these systems emotional divergencies are expensive. We are being emotionally flattened for the benefit of capital.

A nonprofit employee participates in workplace wellness programs that emphasize mindful emotional regulation above all else, the subliminal message being that emotion carries a negative cost, so they flatten

A health practitioner employed by a private platform spends her hours answering queues of faceless texts, no physical signals to stir her duty to care/empathy, so she flattens

It's wild to me that any academic can label something "feminist" without themselves being judged as radical/patriarchal, but someone using the word "patriarchal" in almost any context implicates the user as radical/feminist

Saraghargh @saraghargh.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
Why do we label anything outside of formalist practices "feminist", without also labelling the formalist practices themselves "patriarchal"? If collaborative, relational, noncompetitive practices are by default "feminist", doesn't that implicate formalism as their patriarchal epistemic counter?

"Jewish Orthodoxy was virtually unanimous in its opposition to Zionism when it first arose. It was considered secular heresy." He also cleanly demonstrates it "was seen as giving a moral legitimacy to imperialist interests in the Middle East". That curriculum is def propaganda, yikes

Plus the claim "by the late 1800s, many Jews supported Zionism" is super false? Tony Greenstein's Zionism During The Holocaust presents documentation of its perception as a fringe movement, "the antithesis of the Orthodox belief" in the late 1800s

Stay focused: Nothing about the Investment Summit prohibits investors from "Buying Canadian" - Canadian long term care, childcare, doctors' offices, day surgeries, apartment buildings, as a tsunami of private equity forms. How about some rules to prevent that? www.thestar.com/opinion/cont...

To save Canada, Mark Carney is courting foreign money. He’s risking an ‘investment invasion’
The care economy is looking tempting to foreign investors but that mustn’t be used as a reason to privatize sectors like health.

It's like a weighted blanket for the brain (doesn't feel heavy though) – a level calmness, no numbing, feelings remain intact, the nervous system's disordered fires just chill. And none of the THC side effects like scattered memory & brain fog. This bodes very well

I've used CBN/THC and it was okay, but I get anxiety hangovers from THC and obvs can't drive on it, but wowowow CBG might be the game changer. Non-psychoactive yet interacts directly with CB1 (central nervous system) endocannabinoid receptors – you can def feel it, but it isn't a high

Also it really bothers me that the discourse is still so enchanted with the risks of "AI" when the more urgent and present threat is monopolistic and malignant corporations. Like their shadows have become so normal we can't see them anymore
