7-8 wks post fire and continuing to count myself very lucky. Tiddy tattoo scar will be a (hopefully) cool story the rest might fade. Starting life anew with all sorts of growth (even if it's all against my will as my therapist says)

Titty scar may end up being mostly unnoticeable but kinda like how you get graphite stuck in your skin forever I wasn't able to fully remove the ash. Wondering if the burn will scar much. It's looking much better 3 weeks in though. I'm alive and well so that's what matters.

My family was thankfully able to get me a winter coat, boots and a few basic clothes and toiletries. It's an amusing yet heartwarming mixture of both panic buying and little thoughtful details. I can't say that I'm starting over from this fire with just the clothes on my back cause well....

It’s been a strange kind of heartache this year. I didn’t celebrate, see family, and I didn’t have the capacity for my usual charity work.
