Sakura Wars Stage Shows by Year

I have a Google doc listing all of them! As for footage, officially most of them are on Japanese streaming services. Outside of that, a couple are on YouTube and I think pretty much all are on Bilibili, there's some on the internet archive as well. docs.google.com/document/d/1...

docs.google.com

Important Notes: This is a conclusive list on every single Sakura Wars stage show or concert that has ever been put on, even the ones that weren't recorded or archived. This list only includes shows ...

151

Hi, since Sakura Wars is a huge multimedia franchise spanning 30 years with many legacy casts, there's currently 67 stage productions across the different casts (not counting anything out of costume or small appearances)! some of them are lost media, but the majority are recorded and well archived!

120

the last one was 2022 and they ended abruptly without finishing adapting the games not the anime (which is a direct sequel to the game). This new play is a completely new original story meant as a direct sequel to both the game and anime, they don't acknowledge the incompleteness of the past plays

121

Hello, there were actually 5 Shin stage productions before this one! Two plays that adapt the game and 3 concerts that basically have no narrative but serve to help us get more familiar with the cast and explore their personalities and dynamics through the song choices and dialogue segments! Sadly,

121

her storefront decor looks a lot like a grandma's home, perfect set up for knitting! (she's also the snarky likes to scold and tease everyone kind of grandma)

010

Yeah she's so cool!! And when you have many extensive legacy casts with a repeated set of tropes like Sakura Wars, you gotta keep each new entry fresh somehow!

010

Ziying is such a nice subversion of the immortal child trope bc like she looks like a baby but has the voice, mannerisms, and speech pattern of an 80 year old grandma! It's PEAK!

Yeah, I see your point! And the Sakura Wars series already has a good track record of breaking gender boundaries!!

010

Am I a man? Am I a woman? Who knows. But everyone finds me attractive which makes everyone gay 😍

060

I know it might be silly to debate the gender of this one but you have to understand, her design sheet was so androgynous and the shin shows have a takarazuka-stykd all female cast, it could've easily been an effeminate male character 😭

160

This is what peak female character design loons like!!

020

You know a Sakura Wars female character is done right when she's so androgynous a team member has to come out 3 weeks after the show's premier to confirm her gender bc nothing in the script or any promotional material acknowledged it!!

193

Which is definitely helped by her relatively short height and high pitched voice (compared to Asagi, Shungaku, Goukai, ect)! Like that's my butch son!!!

It isn't lost on me how the only female character in the series to use "Ore" as a pronoun is the one whose entire arc is about giving up an important part of herself (swordfighting) bc she's scared of hurting her loved ones and everyone around her 🥹🥹🥹

If you want Sakura in Crossworlds or any other thing you need to comment that to the official accounts or at least tag them instead of just posting about where they won't see! The team already told us before that they read every comment and that the demand might reach them if it's loud enough!!

More Halloween costumes art. Gragya and Amara from my reverse isekai story dressed as Kanna and Kohran from Sakura Wars. #Art

A muscular and tall redheaded orc woman dressed as Kanna Kirishima and a shorter human woman with glasses dressed as Kohran Li. The orc, Gragya, is saying that Amara (the human) was supposed to dress as Sumire. Amara replies that she likes Kohran more. To which Gragya says it was supposed to be a couple's costume, which gets an 'oohhhh' form Amara.
