Hey telegram what the... what? This is from telegram's official update / changelog blog post :) The only reason I'm not uninstalling the app is because of how many people I talk to on it, and I'm definitely going to be pushing more to move off the platform Utterly immature /at best/
Telegram update blog post, showing a "rich text editor", a table as a content, and a toolbar with various formatting options

Text below the video reads:
Like our rich formatting update for bots, the editor lets you send up to 32,768 characters in a single message. Show those machines what a human can do!

(An aside/note:) The Rich Text Editor is currently available to Telegram Premium users only. Why? Because otherwise, we'd have to call it the Poor Text Editor — and you don't want that.

New Google ReCaptcha is phishing paradise Let's force people to scan a random QR code on checkout in shops, surely it'll have zero problems for anyone, and won't result in training people to blindly follow them cloud.google.com/blog/product... #infosec #phishing #google #recaptcha #cybersecurity
An image of a demo shop checkout page by Google, with ReCaptcha modal popup on top, instructing to "Scan to Verify You're Human"

Oh yeah, older thing from like.. July? Reddit Chat (DMs branding lol) is Matrix Like it's just straight up plain damn Matrix protocol.. Login's weird tho Also it turns out Matrix E2EE does not work without server's blessing to store some stuff, lol fuck Check out uhhh, reddit.com/.well-known/...
URL bar showing some "reddit.com" path that reads suspiciously like a typical Matrix room URL: "room/!long_redacted_stuff@reddit.com", with the @ replaced by its percent encodingList of browser network debugger connections, notably showing various "chat.reddit.com/svc/matrix-web" requests and long polling endpoint of "matrix.redditspace.com/_matrix/client/v3/sync", among othersA very tight crop of Matrix client showing "Upgrade this room to the recommended room version", it can be assumed this is a screenshot from a matrix client connected to Reddit ChatTop of web page, showing URL app.element.io, the official/reference Matrix chat client

Niiiice Passkey imported into self-hosted Bitwarden install from (needs 26 tho) iOS Passwords app into the Bitwarden app and now I can see that passkey in the web UI And from that it extracts happily as a plaintext JSON file or whatever the heck No Apple vendor lock-in as far as I can see, yay~
Screenshot of bitwarden vault web UI, showing one single entry - Yubico demo userA bitwarden export file in json format, showing a bare FIDO2 credential with key value and credential id fully exposed and readable. Though censored here with opaque red bar, despite it being a throwaway credential, but practicing security never hurts~

Silksong~
Screenshot of the steam store "Thank you for your purchase, install your new content" post-purchase page

"SILKSONG PURCHASED" in big font covers up most of it, the text backed with an opaque black bar, mimicking the "humanity restored" popup text from Dark Souls

Randomly ended up looking at the Twitter ("X") profile of what seems to be the #TRMNL company owner and uhhhh Something something fellas is it gay to say "my partner" :) ...I also regret searching for posts with "trans" and "gay" from that account. (image cw: most milquetoast homophobia)
Screenshot of account claiming to be Ryan Kulp (under a handle of @ ryanckulp), of some kind of Nitter instance, text follows:

"(saying "my partner" is theft from everyone who took a risk and sealed the deal. it cheapens the word)"

"whenever someone says "my partner" i assume they are gay"
(in quote tweet to another account posting "De-normalize using the term “partner” for your spouse.")

Aha found an actual fucking sample, SOMEONE finally actually posted it, thanks @christopherkunz.bsky.social www.linkedin.com/feed/update/... And it was linked in replies to original post that caused all confusion (that's www.linkedin.com/posts/underd... for those in need of the link)
LinkedIn post from Christopher Kunz

💀 89 million Steam users hacked? A good time to change your passwords? Come on.

This is just a "fart in a puddle" as a darknet user put it. Basically, what the threat actor obtained and now wants to sell are 89 million SMS send log records. These contain lots of REALLY boring metadata like delivery date, delivery delays, carrier and stuff, BUT
- they are recent (2025)
- They contain phone numbers
This is interesting info for criminals who want to do a large-scale Steam phishing campaign, but it's hardly a reason to change your Steam password or otherwise panic.
The demo data contains 3K entries from Portugal, but out of these, there are only 1.8K unique phone numbers. That's 60%, and judging from that subset of the actual data, there are probably at most 53M different phone numbers involved.

Yes, this sucks, but I cannot see any other use than phishing campaigns from the data that I'm seeing.

+ post of data, showing:
Current, "IsMNPR" (false all), IsHLRRe- (false all), Ported (all false), PreDes- (Vodafone), Service, TerminatorMessageId (some weird int), MessageId (GUID), Message (various "Your steam confirmation code is ...")

Kept trying to remember a meme about like, "yuuuuuge cyber" with goat on the image It was from github.com/thepractical...
A fictional book cover from "O Rly?" with a goat, standing on top of huge title "THE CYBER", with the beginning of the title being "The Art of". An extra line is on top of the cover, "Great cyber, the best cyber, yuuuuuge cyber".

It is similar to a popular series of educational and training books, but the publisher is "O Rly?", with author listed as a twitter handle of "@ThePracticalDev"

This is the class of all fucking time
It's a java class. It's only ten lines. It looks small. It IS small.

What does it do?

It just provides a static method that does one thing:

Returns a string with URL to GSON Troubleshooting.md on github, suffixed with the argument passed to it

Google gson's /gson/src/main/java/com/google/gson/internal/TroubleshootingGuide.java

For reference, NOH ORWH (Office of Research on Women's Health) site at the start of january from web archive Open it now and... orwh.od.nih.gov Right now the only thing is seems to have is uh, menopause stuff plus a few blurbs here and there
A screenshot of NIH ORWH website. Notable it includes more than just a calendar of events and about. Namely various links to various research programs, career info, notable research. The navbar is much more populated, with categories like "Resources & Training", "Sex & Gender", "Womens Health Equity & Inclusion", "Career Support"

I got bored I made this silly thing in JS and probably will throw it into saphi.re/projects It reads a PSF(U) files and prints the stored bitmap font out. Uses drag and drop~ Which was surprisingly easy because somehow half the sites that use drag and drop somehow manage to not work ._.
Image of a terminal/bitmap font printout, showing all the characters within it. It's four square blocks arranged in two-by-two pattern. The blocks themselves contain eight-by-eight character grid.

It's some ASCII derivative.

Text under the printout, using the same exact font displays:
"Font: Unknown (1/1). Has placeholder: yes.", and a pangram about a sphinx of black quarts, judging "my" vow.

It's subtly gray on pure black. The font is specifically Terminus 16x32.

And that's an NSFW account set up for reposting stuff - @nsfw.saphi.re Let’s see if I actually end up using it :P Should just slap 18+ on this acc too, tbh. Try to repost stuff with labels only tho. And so that I can apply a label to filter this post from people’s feed, have some "N"SFW boxes

You can set up Bluesky to automatically warn you if you don't have any alt-text set on images you post. Very nice if you are forgetful x3 It's in the Settings menu, Accessibility (first item below account info), first option Makes you unable to hit post without alt text on all your images~
A screenshot of Bluesky's Settings menu, highlighting "Accessibility" menu item in the "Basics" category below the account controls.

More or less in the middle of the screen for whatever smartphone the screenshot was taken on.Another screenshot of the settings, pointing at an option to REQUIRE alt text before posting. It's the first option at the very top.

There's also "Display larger alt text badges", "Disable autoplay for videos and GIFs" and "Disable haptic feedback".

Whoever made the screenshot has one new bluesky notification.

For reference... The is what I get when I look at the contacts via Google Contacts web UI, and from my Samsung phone contacts app (I think not Android AOSP but Samsung custom?)
Google Contacts web interface, showing a field of type "Chat" with redacted content. A header above says "Can't update this info" and a help tooltip for THAT says "These fields are no longer supported by Google Contacts. They can only be removed."A crop of a screenshot from an Android phone, of Samsung contacts app. A contact field with "message bubble" icon has a title of "custom". Underneath there's red error text, "Can't add or edit messengers anymore.". Only option for what can be done to this field is deleting it.

Apparently duckduckgo is showing most blatantly "bad seo boilerplate" preview text now Which is the fault of bing because DDG is just a proxy/frontend for it I've never wanted to see kernel.org with SEO bs lmao What's going on?
Search result of DuckDuckGo for "printk", showing notably result from kernel.org that reads like most generic SEO spam: "Learn how to use printk format blah blah blah. See examples, ... tips..." on and onThe same query but on Bing. Nearly same results.

There's zero indication these are in any way generated. There's a conspicuous "Estimated Reading Time: 11mins" on kernel.org result that's missing on other results including the contaminated preview

Similar page preview/summary is shown for Stack Overflow here

Nope, that stuff works perfectly fine! Hover and clicking all work... with the exception of being extremely slow to rerender the coloring between :C It ends up being off by ~2/3rd. Which sounds like it somehow gets messed up by different DPI? Somehow? I forgot how it interacts with mouse events
A screenshot of SkyGraph, showing a random node being highlighted via hover. The cursor however is not anywhere near the node getting hover popup. It's about half of the diagonal from top left corner to the node further

Well, that's unfortunate. Really, really unfortunate. That's pancakes (would it be just one kind or any of them?), chocolate, and bananas... Oh and the other picture I had around was ice cream (neapolitan!)
A half of a pancake ("blin") wrapped around a filling of chocolate and banana, in a shiny cardboard box for food delivery. It's sitting on a giant mouse pad with rainbow wavy pattern on it. There's a fork and a knife lying in the box, off to the side from the pancake.

Aw, that's a really adorable excited robot on the post pic. And heck, let's gooo~ :D And hope you have fun!
An anthro dragoness standing with one hand behind her and one held in front of her face, showing off her magenta claws. The picture features two versions of her, in lighter and darker version of the same "techwear" clothing. There's a lot of belts, some on a long tail, and a small bag is on the left (to her) leg. It's not very clear how this outfit can be taken off.A reference sheet of a blue anthro dragoness. Features front, back, and multiple headshots and detail shots of handpaws, mouth (showing dark gray teeth), and a feature shot of the back with tendrils coming out of the 8 ports on the back. She has four ears and just two back directed horns (like on all the other pictures).

This picture has a rather dark background, causing the dark fur on limbs and tailtip lose some contrast.

Well, the ref! Or rather a two "I like this art" and two refs... Though I really need to figure out the exact way horns should be for me, blah. Something like on the art with the sword? Aa.. And good luck with the raffle! Hope you have fun with it :D
A blue dragoness (me!) holding a big glowing semi-transparent sword in a vaguely ready to fight pose. Two wings composed of 5 separate floating segments are behind her.

The entire scene is taking place on a big gray platform covered in some kind of pattern, with a backdrop of many giant blue smooth crystals visible beyond, forming something of a cave.An anthro dragoness standing with one hand behind her and one held in front of her face, showing off her magenta claws.
