Oh the brilliant minds in the Registrar's Office are saying that any classes with irregular times can still have sessions on Fridays, so it could still be M/W/F, but it would be two 70 minute classes and one 40 minute class??? OR SOMETHING?

But yeah, effectively this means no Friday classes, because I'm pretty sure that given the choice between their preferred teaching days and their preferred teaching blocks, they'll pick the days over the block ALL THE TIME. Or at least in my department that's my bet 😂

Sort of. It means that any department that tries to schedule a three hour block class at any point between 9am - 3pm has to do it on Fridays. Before they were letting us get away with scheduling them on a Monday or Wednesday as long as we paired them with another 3 hr class on the opposite day.

Apparently my university is planning on switching all of our classes to two days a week to standardize the times for scheduling. Honestly fine, whatever, I don’t have strong feelings about that. Apparently they’re thinking of starting this IN AUGUST 2027. I just. Give us a BIT more notice maybe? JFC
