Anyway, we really need distribution alternatives to the play store, that ensure security as well as free ourselves from the fcking Google monopoly. Or else, individual devs with cool projects will keep getting fucked until they're kicked out and replaced with awful apps just made to consume users...

And you need to go through so many steps to do so, sometimes even changing the phone settings... so distributing oneself and hoping that the people will do that extra work and also trust you, on top of being found out there first, it's just stupid. Plus nobody should even do that, as it's risky af

On other note, I really want to quit the play store forever, but sadly there's not really any good apk distribution alternative... and unlike with PC software, where you just click yes and install a bunch of malware, android really freaks out when installing apks that don't come from the play store
