I haven't used AC even once this year. 80s temps are tolerable. I'm looking forward to getting outside this weekend, before it gets cold for the rest of the year. I still need to find 20 Wildwood crows in downtown Portland.

Commenters with dogs Crack me up. Dogs love to go for rides in the car,even to the groomer. Ours is 9 Mos overdue for a peticure and an annual checkup. Oregon passed a law that vets can't prescribe sedatives unless they saw cat within last year. And no way they can examine unsedated cat. WTF?

Dale Chihuly began the Persian series in 1986. This installation is called Persian Ceiling, 35' x 14.5', installed at Chihuly Garden and Glass in 2012. This incredible gallery sits near the base of the Space Needle. Plan an entire day seeing Seattle Center. Chihuly, Space Needle and MoPOP. 😍

PDX carpet is cool. But it's cooler now that they've brought back the iconic carpet in pre-security seating areas. Oh, and they have the trip to baggage claim from concourses D and E shortened with new escalators and elevators. No more getting in 10K steps to get there.

Bought one at the $1 store, cut a 9" length, then cut a lengthwise slit. Perfect for fishing leader lines and hooks. Recently saw one at Bass Pro Shop, precut for $20. Doing a smart woman strut.

Since moving to Portland, which spreads out east and west of the Willamette River, I have become obsessed with BRIDGES. As marvels of engineering, as metaphor, as a way across barriers, as storytellers of the time in which they were built. My favorite is Steel Bridge. Unique in all the world.

MOPOP is one of our favorite places. We went in 2024 to see the Laika exhibit, planning to spend a half day there. We spent the whole day and visited again in January 2026. It's a 4 hr drive from Portland, but so so worth the trip!
