So true. And honestly I watch a lot of classic films — and it’s easy for me to enjoy them even though many actors of those eras had similar (or even worse) views or actions.

It is. His film WE WERE SOLDIERS I think is a very good film about America’s early days in Vietnam. But as I watch it I always think about his various issues.

He did make some good films. But rewatching them is hard for me as, while watching them, I just keep thinking about the awful things he’s said and done.
