iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

So I was so confused when I saw it. Haha! But I’ve been told by a friend of mine who has been a fan of the lore since it was a viral video that the movie was made more for people who understood the lore. I did think it was an interesting commentary on perception vs. reality.

Just inject this movie into my veins already!!

Doooo. Added bonus— Lena Headey.

Did you see The Abandons on Netflix? She was headed to film that when we were on the same flight. My eyes bugged out when she walked on & sat in the row across the aisle from me.

I don’t know that this is exclusive to millennials. I’m Gen X & I too would rather remove my own appendix with a spoon than talk on the phone. And everyone at work who insists on having a “quick” Teams call instead of just chatting me…

That time I breathed the same air as her in an airplane cabin. I got told I “won the lesbian lotto”. Haha!

Miss you too! Come to Shore Leave next year. There MAY be “A Very Special Episode of Tequilatown.” 🌵

Some of my favorite people! Hope you’re enjoying your Dragon Con experience. Haha!

I remember when the badge line wait was like 7 hours. Haha! But still weird it was so long this year. My last year, I was in & out in like 20 minutes.

020

Sandi (Arista) @sandi25252.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

This is “Dragon Con normal.” I know people who finished costumes in their hotel rooms at con.

030

Sandi (Arista) @sandi25252.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Do you show them “the secret food court”? Haha! @vberry06.bsky.social, you should do this to help you orient.

It really was good. I listened to the audiobook & throughly enjoyed it.

Glad to see I wasn’t the only one who immediately went there.

Also, we’re of the age where we should get an MMR booster if you haven’t already done that. Because ya know…. Measles is a thing we have to worry about again. 😑

Sandi (Arista) @sandi25252.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

Go get your flu shot now if you haven’t already. Since it’s about 2.5 weeks out from Dragon Con, I’d say get whatever Covid vaccine they have now since it takes a couple of weeks to reach maximum power. Something is better than nothing. Also, take all the hand sanitizer.

Missing all of my Earp friends! Keep the photos coming though! Living vicariously through y’all. (Miss you, friend.)

And as I’ve said multiple times, you seem so much happier living as your authentic self. And that makes me happy for you. ❤️

We’ve got a bit of the yellow haze here in Maryland from the wildfires. Take care of your lungs.

I will miss y’all! But I’ll be there in spirit.

get that a member of the committee passed away & that presented a challenge toward the end of con planning, but I still wonder how no one looked at these panels & went, “This seems like a bad idea.”

000

Sandi (Arista) @sandi25252.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

As a queer person who attends this con, I would respectfully disagree with the committee. We need more inclusive programming at this con. But the “old guard” has made getting any type of LGBT+ programming increasingly difficult to get approved. This con needs an infusion of new ideas & attendees.

010

Sandi (Arista) @sandi25252.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

There’s also a need for more diverse programming. Rumor is, the committee basically ran off all the people who put on any LGBT+ programming because they made it increasingly difficult to get panel approval. And yet… this. (More…)

100

Sandi (Arista) @sandi25252.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

This con is basically on life support. Almost literally. The demographic is… not young. I had a very long conversation with one of the committee members about “quality over quantity” & if they didn’t pull in a younger crowd, this con was literally dead in 10 years. (More…)

100

Sandi (Arista) @sandi25252.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

Ding ding ding. The demographic of this con is… not a thriving one. At the rate it’s going, this con will be dead in 10 years. Literally.

Gross. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with her. Hopefully you can get our stuff soon & get that toxic BS out of your life. You deserve better. And in spite of all her efforts, you ended up being you & like I said when I first saw you after your transition, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you happier.

110

Sandi (Arista) @sandi25252.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

I don’t understand how calling you by your name is impacting her life at all. Like, seriously— being trans seems hard enough without people being shitty just to be shitty. I mean, I’ll call you whatever the fuck you want me to. It’s not going to cause me great bodily harm to not be a shitty person.

Voter fraud was never a “problem” until a certain someone started crying because he didn’t win an election. The instances of voter fraud in this country are less than 1%.

Fucking Dragon Con. It’s like they’re setting a trap for me. Also, weird they didn’t mention The Sarah Connor Chronicles, but pulls out the lesbian movie she was in. Hahaha! Well played.

Even if it were done on a whim, you’re a fucking adult & can make your own goddamned medical decisions with the help of your medical care team. None of which cause me grave bodily injury so it’s none of my fucking business what those decisions are. Why is that an unpopular opinion? 🤷‍♀️ ❤️ you!

@big-matt.bsky.social Just watched Lee Cronin’s The Mummy. If you like gore horror, might be up your alley. I was pretty “meh” on it & wish I hadn’t spent the $20 to rent it. Unless you’re dying to see it, wait for it to stream on a service you already pay for.

120

Sandi (Arista) @sandi25252.bsky.social · 19/05/2026

And yes, the dogs did seem to “watch” the movie too. A lot of appealing noises for them.

010

Sandi (Arista) @sandi25252.bsky.social · 19/05/2026

Yes, that’s the one. And worth watching for sure. It’s a very unique take on the genre. As a dog owner, I really enjoyed it. But again, my dogs’ “randomness” will never hit the same with me. Hahaha! It was streaming on Shudder TV on Philo for me.
